Maria Valente, MSN, APRN, FNP Nurse Practitioner

Originally from Brazil, Maria Valente moved to Bristol, Tennessee in 1981 where she attended King College and received her degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from East Tennessee State University in 2004. She has a special medical interest in pediatric urgent care and has experience in pediatric urology and pediatric urgent care. Mrs. Valente has three children, and enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Sarah Conrad, CPNP-PC, provides comprehensive primary care for children and adolescents at MUSC in Mount Pleasant, where she has practiced for over a decade. With a passion for fostering healthy families and communities, she emphasizes wellness, integrative care, evidence-based practice, and family education. She enjoys partnering with families to support their children's health from birth through young adulthood.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Michelle Crowe obtained her Bachelor's degree in Health Science before completing her Master's in Physician Assistant Science from Gannon University in Erie, PA. She started her career in the Emergency Department in Pittsburgh, PA before relocating to Greenville, SC where she was fortunate to practice in a pediatric office. She and her husband, and their two children live in Summerville. She enjoys hiking, the beach, and spending time with her family and friends.

Kimberly Kinkade, MSN, APRN, CFNP, IBCLC Nurse Practitioner

Kimberly was born and raised in New York. She attended Utica College of Syracuse University, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and playing collegiate soccer and lacrosse. In May 2007, she received her Master of Science in Nursing from Upstate Medical University. Kimberly is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In June of 2017, Kimberly became a board-certified lactation consultant specializing in newborn care related to the baby-mother dyad. Kimberly and her family previously resided in the Northern Virginia area and recently relocated to Mount Pleasant in August 2021. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, Connor and Mason, and she also has a westie named McTavish. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys reading, long-distance running, and a good day relaxing at the beach.

Katharine Loob, DO

Dr. Loob was raised in Colorado before moving to South Carolina in 2018. Dr. Loob completed her Bachelor's degree in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado at Boulder and then obtained her Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She received her medical degree at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. She then moved to Charleston, South Carolina, to complete her residency in Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
Dr. Loob is board-certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is especially passionate about preventive medicine, mental health, and obesity management.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Loob enjoys birding, visiting the local county parks, and going to RiverDogs games and oyster roasts.

Melissa Lee, PA

Melissa was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and it was there that she attended the University of Houston for her undergraduate degree. After realizing her calling to medicine, she attended the University of Texas Medical Branch, where she completed her degree and training in Physician Assistant Studies. Melissa comes to us with over 17 years of pediatric experience. Her vast experience has included over eight years of Pediatric Emergency Medicine while at Texas Children's Hospital and MUSC Shawn Jenkin's Children's Hospital. Melissa has over eight years of Pediatric Hematology experience working as the Lead APP of the Hemostasis Clinic at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. In her free time, Melissa loves biking with her teenage daughter, playing with her rescue puppy, Ruby Lou, reading, and traveling.

Morgan Tang, PA-C

Morgan is originally from Pennsylvania and has lived in Charleston since January of 2020. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Science from James Madison University. Following undergrad, Morgan lived in Guatemala and worked with a pediatrician, helping with child development and diabetes. She later worked as an Emergency Department Technician at Nemours A.I. Dupont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. Morgan graduated with her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Charleston Southern University. Outside of work, she loves going to the beach, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.

Catherine Snead, PMHS, CRNP

Catherine is originally from Maryland and has lived in Charleston for several years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Pediatric Primary Care from the University of Maryland. She worked for 21 years at a pediatric group in Maryland as a Pediatric RN, then as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, before moving to Charleston. Catherine was certified as a Guardian ad Litem in South Carolina and a Pediatric Primary Care Mental Healthcare Specialist. She also served as the Secretary for the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurses.

Rodrigo Garcia, MD, FAAP

Originally From Mexico, Dr. Garcia was raised in Zambia and Kenya. He first came to Charleston in 2000 when he completed his Bachelor's degree at the College of Charleston. He then moved to New York where he obtained a Master's in Basic Medical Science from New York Medical College. Dr. Garcia attended SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine and completed his residency at NYU-Winthrop Children's Hospital, both in Long Island, NY. He has a special interest in adolescent and global medicine. Dr. Garcia and his wife recently moved back to the Lowcountry and welcomed a baby boy to their growing family. In his spare time, he enjoys soccer, reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Danielle DeCourcey, MD

Dr. Danielle DeCourcey is a board-certified pediatrician passionate about helping children and families live their healthiest lives. Originally from Rochester, NY, she received her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Rochester/Golisano Children's Hospital. At MUSC, Dr. DeCourcey provides comprehensive care with a strong focus on both physical and mental health, while considering the social determinants that affect a child's well-being. She partners closely with families to set individualized health goals and offers guidance, support, and evidence-based care every step of the way. Her clinical interests include foster and adoptive medicine, common pediatric mental health concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression, and the care of children who were previously in the NICU. She values being a consistent and trusted resource for families as they navigate the unique challenges of early childhood and beyond. Dr. DeCourcey is excited to be part of the MUSC team and is committed to serving the children and families of Charleston. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and exploring the outdoors.

Lindsey Harris, MSN, APRN, CPNP

Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, Lindsey Harris obtained her Bachelor's degree in Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Then, Lindsey moved to Charleston to work at The Medical University of South Carolina in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Lindsey later became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care after obtaining her Master's degree in Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. As a nurse practitioner, she has been practicing in private primary care. Lindsey is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board, is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and the Lowcountry Advanced Practice Nurses Association. She is a member of the MUSC College of Nursing adjunct faculty precepting nurse practitioner students. Lindsey her husband Daniel, and two sons, Cooper and Luke, live in Summerville. She enjoys traveling, the beach, running, and spending time with her family and friends.

Robert Clifford, MD, FAAP

Dr. Robert Clifford grew up in Charleston, SC. After graduating from Furman University, Robert completed medical school and pediatric residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Dr. Clifford joined the practice in 1999 and is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at MUSC. He served as the Chairman of Pediatrics at both Roper and St. Francis Hospitals from 2009 to 2013. Dr. Clifford is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Clifford is involved in his church and in the community. He serves as an elder and as worship leader at Calvary Lutheran Church and is actively involved in short-term medical mission work. Over the past several years, he has led medical teams into Thailand, China, Burma, Jordan and Iraq with Remember - a Charleston-based organization whose ministry is to the persecuted church. Dr. Clifford's humanitarian work has been recognized on a global scale by Save the Children who awarded him a REAL Award in 2013. Cara Kendrick is a doctorly prepared pediatric nurse practitioner and summa cum laude graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina's (MUSC) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. Dr. Kendrick grew up in Isle of Palms, SC, and earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the College of Charleston. She then obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) from MUSC's Accelerated BSN program and worked in Pediatric Critical Care for several years before obtaining her DNP degree. Dr. Kendrick is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board in Pediatric Primary Care. She is passionate about injury and disease prevention, behavioral health, and caring for young children with medical complexities. In her spare time, Dr. Kendrick enjoys volunteering in the nursery at her family's church, attending exercise classes, and spending time with her husband and two young children.

Meghan Geils, MD, FAAP

Dr. Meghan Geils grew up in the beautiful Lowcountry. She graduated from Clemson University and then attended medical school at The Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Geils transferred and graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical School and graduated from there. She and her husband returned to Charleston, and she completed her pediatric residency at The Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Meghan Geils and her husband have three children, she loves staying busy and being a working mother. Dr. Geils is not accepting new patients at this time.

Hannah Kendrick, DNP Nurse Practitioner

Hannah is from a small town outside of Winston-Salem, NC and graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked for several years as a Nurse in the hospital setting before deciding to go back to school to pursue a provider role. Hannah graduated with honors from Georgetown University with her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner degree. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners along with the Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society. Hannah enjoys running around Charleston with her rescue Labradoodle or learning how to surf with her husband, William. She can't wait to serve the kids and families of the Lowcountry!

Kara graduated from East Carolina University with her Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Upon graduation, she worked for three years as an adult and pediatric occupational therapist, and later received her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from The Medical University of South Carolina in 2005. As a PA, Kara has had the opportunity to work 4 years in obstetrics and 13 years in pediatrics. Her special interests include newborn and breastfeeding support, well child care, and ADHD/ADD diagnosis and treatment. Outside of work, Kara and her husband spend their time homeschooling their three amazing children, working on their endless "Fixer Upper", and hiking/spending family time outside! If she gets down time, you will find her joyfully sipping tea and reading. Kara is not accepting new patients at this time.

A native of the Lowcountry, Richard Larson obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and practiced at the bedside before completing his Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina. Richard started his career as a nurse at Roper Saint Francis Healthcare, working in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Operating Room, and Clinical Informatics. Richard was then commissioned in the United States Air Force, where he practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Scott Air Force Base Pediatric Clinic. During his time with the USAF, he served in leadership roles, including Flight Commander during the COVID-19 vaccine crisis response and as Medical Advisor to the Child Development Center. He resides in the Lowcountry with his wife, and their two children live in Moncks Corner. He enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family, and playing the guitar.
