Christopher Roxon, MD

Family Medicine, Primary Care

About

I am a board-certified family medicine physician and am specifically interested in full spectrum family medicine from care of the newborn through care of the elderly in an outpatient office setting. I completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in my hometown of Charleston. I then went on to complete medical residency at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, South Carolina which boasts the top board scores in the nation for family medicine physicians. During my time as a medical student as well as a medical resident, I have volunteered at numerous free clinics providing care to those who would not have access to it otherwise. My professional goals would be to provide quality care to the community that raised me with a particular focus on the prevention and treatment of a wide range of ailments. I also hope to be able to provide a wide range procedural skill set learned throughout my time as a medical resident from dermatologic procedures to ultrasound-guided joint injections. Ultimately, I hope to be able to accomplish these goals through partnership with the Medical University of South Carolina for many years to come.
