Heidi L. Tatum, MPAS, PA-C, grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. She moved to Charleston, SC in 2005 after receiving her Masters of Physician Assistant from Duquesne University. Since then she has worked in various areas of the medical field including urgent care, emergency medicine and family practice. She actually worked at the Springview location from June 2007 to October 2015 with Palmetto Primary Care treating patients of all ages. Her passion has always been in family practice, so she returned in September 2018 now working with MUSC. Heidi loves treating women's health, diabetes, and has a knack for wound care. Heidi also loves giving back to her profession and finds it imperative to find time for new and upcoming physician assistants. That is why you will often find physician assistant students in the clinic with her. Heidi's goal is to treat patients with the same care and compassion as she would use to treat her own family members. She wants patients to feel comfortable and confident in the care she is providing.

Cherika Gadson is a family nurse practitioner who provides primary care services for the whole family, starting at age six through geriatric ages. Cherika was born and raised in South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Charleston Southern University in 2005. In 2009, she received a Master of Science in Human Movement and Exercise Science. Cherika then went on to Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia in 2012 where she received a second Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She also earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, in 2015. Her approach is to treat the whole person, not just the illness. Her clinical interests include the following: well and preventive care; treating seasonal allergies and sinus problems; musculoskeletal disorders; treating patients with acute illnesses; and, chronic disease management such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

Dr. Kidd joined MUSC Health Primary Care in 2025. She is board certified in family medicine and received her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Midwestern University. She was born and raised in California and obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, in neurobiology and physiology. Dr. Kidd completed her residency training in Tacoma, Washington through the University of Washington. After residency, she worked for the Department of Defense at Fort Bliss Army base in El Paso, Texas, where her husband served as an active duty staff physician. Dr. Kidd enjoyed working with military families as well as active duty soldiers and retired service members. Additionally, she performed various other administrative tasks and pioneered the start of William Beaumont Army medical center's first immigration clinic, of which she was the medical director. After three years, Dr. Kidd transitioned into the community and served as physician and site medical director for Sierra Providence urgent care clinic in El Paso. Most recently and for the past 10 years, she has worked as a family medicine provider for Boulder Community Health in Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Kidd is fluent in Spanish and enjoys practicing the full spectrum of family medicine, caring for patients of all ages and all ethnic backgrounds. She believes in a holistic approach to healthcare, addressing each patient as a whole person and not just a patient with a disease. She strives to empower her patients to be knowledgeable, informed and active participants in their healthcare so they can make choices to achieve the best possible outcome. At MUSC Health, Dr. Kidd will offer full spectrum care with a focus on extending healthcare services to the local Spanish speaking population and other underserved communities. She has a passion for the management of chronic medical conditions, women's health and mental health.

Ashley Valiquette, DNP, APRN, AGNP-C, is a board-certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner specializing in primary care. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2024 with both her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees. She earned a baccalaureate of nursing from Charleston Southern University in 2014. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Ashley worked as a nurse for several years in a post anesthesia care unit at a local hospital. She is a Charleston native and resides here with her husband and two children.

Dr. Suzann Weathers is a board-certified family medicine doctor practicing at MUSC Health Primary Care - Springview in Summerville, South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University and then her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. After completing her Family Medicine residency in Charleston, she served the Summerville community as a primary care physician. Most recently, she has worked for the Veterans Administration in Charleston. Dr. Weathers sees patients ages five and above. As a primary care provider, she focuses on helping her patients maintain wellness and optimize health. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, women's health, and chronic care management (including diabetes, cholesterol, and high blood pressure). She enjoys seeing new patients and developing relationships with families for years to come.Dr. Weathers believes in a comprehensive approach to medicine that includes focusing on preventive care and optimizing physical, spiritual, and emotional wellness. Dr. Scott Lloyd is a board-certified family medicine physician at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Lloyd offers comprehensive primary care (general practitioner) services for the entire family. His areas of interest include primary care medicine, adolescent medicine, care of the underserved, and geriatrics. He has extensive expertise in providing acute and chronic medical care to individuals from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds and those with multiple medical conditions including, but not limited to, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, kidney disease, and mental health concerns. Dr. Lloyd also provides preventive medicine for people currently in good health and for those with multiple, chronic medical conditions. Dr. Lloyd was raised in Summerville, South Carolina, where he currently resides with his family, and is a graduate of Summerville High School. He attended the College of Charleston for undergraduate schooling, where he studied biology, zoology, and meteorology. He has lived in Cambridge, Maryland, where he earned his Ph.D. in marine and environmental science, and Charlottesville, Virginia, where he worked at the University of Virginia in adult and science education research and at Mary Baldwin College (in Staunton, Virginia) where he taught environmental science. He returned to the Charleston area to attend the Medical University of South Carolina for medical school training. He completed his family medicine residency training at the Trident Medical Center/MUSC Family Medicine Residency Program in Charleston.
