Amos Katz, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurologist with over 40 years experience in treating multiple sclerosis (MS). He emphasizes a personalized approach to treatment, recognizing that MS is a complex disease requiring individualized care plans designed to prevent disease progression and reduce disability.
Dr. Katz’s primary clinical interests include the early diagnosis of MS and related diseases with appropriate care and the reduction of progressive disease. As for procedures, Dr. Katz offers Botox for pain and spasticity, as well as trigger point injections and nerve blocks for pain as needed.
After earning his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, he completed his medical internship at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. He then moved on to Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT where he completed his neurology residency and served as chief resident, along with a post-doctoral fellowship.
Dr. Katz is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Association of Pain Management. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Monmouth County Medical Society, and the New Jersey Medical Society.
His research experience is extensive, having served as principal investigator on numerous MS studies.
