Dr. Hewitt has been with HackensackUMC since 1998. Dr. Hewitt is board certified and is an attending physician in emergency medicine. Dr. Hewitt holds Academic appointments at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University, St. George's University School of Medicine, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and is part of the Emergency Trauma/Airway Management Team for the NY Giants.
Dr. Hewitt's scope of responsibility at Hackensack UMC includes Emergency Medicine, Observational Services, core faculty for the Emergency Medicine Residency program, Pre Hospital Care and Disaster Preparedness including the Mobile Satellite Emergency Department Program in addition to being a member of numerous other major hospital committees.
