Noa Biran, M.D., joined the Multiple Myeloma Division at John Theurer Cancer Center, Regional Cancer Care Association, in September 2014.





Dr. Biran previously served as Chief Fellow of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, where she also practiced in their internal medicine internship and residency and trained under the auspices of Dr. Ajai Chari and Dr. Sundar Jagannath of the multiple myeloma program. She received her medical degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.





Dr. Biran is actively involved in a high-volume clinical practice as well as with clinical and translational research focusing on patients with plasma cell dyscrasias. As a clinical fellow, she was the recipient of the FLIMS workshop in clinical cancer research grant sponsored by the European Cancer Congress and European Society of Medical Oncology. She is currently the principal investigator of investigator initiated as well as industry sponsored clinical studies. Her research interest is in high-risk multiple myeloma as well as in harnessing the immune response in the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma. She has also focused her research efforts on improving quality of life, cognitive dysfunction time on therapy for patients with multiple myeloma. Her clinical work has been presented at international and national conferences such as the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Society of Hematologic Oncology. She is widely published in hematology and oncology journals such as the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Lancet Hematology, Biology of Blood and Marrow Transplant, PLoS One, British Journal of Hematology, and American Journal of Hematology.
