Siddharth Kapoor, MD

Siddharth Kapoor, M.D. is board-certified in neurology, epilepsy and headache medicine and serves as the Regional Chief for Epilepsy at Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at JFK University Medical Center. He has extensive experience at a NAEC Level IV Epilepsy Center and will provide and oversee care for patients who need advanced therapeutic options for their epilepsy. This includes the consideration of brain surgery, use of approved medical devices including vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), deep brain stimulation (DBS), responsive neurostimulation (RNS) and innovative drug trials as necessary.

Dr. Kapoor earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College at the University of Delhi in New Delhi, India. He then completed his neurology residency at New York University School of Medicine, followed by a clinical neurophysiology fellowship at University of Michigan Health System. He earned his MBA - including a graduate certificate in improving healthcare value - at the University of Kentucky, where he most recently served as an associate professor of Neurology and an attending neurologist at UK Healthcare.

With his extensive experience and training, Dr. Kapoor has served as a nationally and internationally recognized researcher, visiting professor, mentor, educator, speaker, consultant, and advocate committed to advancing epilepsy and headache care. He has contributed numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts and book chapters to medical literature and received awards for educational and clinical excellence, including the Academy of Medical Educator Excellence Medical Education Award for Mentorship and recognition in the Best Doctors in America® list.

Dr. Kapoor is a fellow of the American Neurological Association, the American Epilepsy Society, and the American Headache Society. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, The Epilepsy Study Consortium, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Epilepsy Learning Healthcare System at the Epilepsy Foundation, and one of the founding member of the International Society of Neurogastronomy.
