Tasneem Peeraully, M.D. is board certified in neurology and fellowship-trained in movement disorders and treats patients at the Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. Dr. Peeraully evaluates a wide range of neurological conditions, with special interest in Parkinson's disease, dystonia, essential tremor, corticobasal degeneration, multiple system atrophy, progressive supranuclear palsy, Huntington's disease, hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, and tic disorders.





She has extensive training in the application of BOTOX (onabotulinumtoxinA)n, performing injections for dystonia, spasticity, migraine, hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, tics, tremor and drooling. She is experienced in evaluating and selecting appropriate candidates with Parkinson's disease and essential tremor for deep brain stimulation surgery, and in performing device programming for optimal results.





Dr. Peeraully received an undergraduate degree in neuroscience and her medical degree from University College London. She performed her neurology residency at JFK University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident in her final year. She pursued her fellowship training in movement disorders at the National Neuroscience Institute in Singapore and at UCLA Medical Center. She was previously assistant professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and director of the school's Center for Movement Disorders and Neuromodulation. Most recently, she was director of the movement disorders program at the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute, and held a faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.





Dr Peeraully's publications include articles and abstracts on a broad range of conditions including Parkinson's disease, multiple system atrophy, and dystonia. Dr. Peeraully is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.
