Zelda J Ghersin, MD

Zelda Ghersin is a board-certified pediatric intensivist that specializes in the care of critically ill children and infants. She completed her fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and currently serves as the Director of Pediatric Simulation and Emergency Preparedness at K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital. She has a passion for global health and has been part of several medical-surgical mission trips, as well as a global disaster response team. Her research has involved the creation of a multidisciplinary educational curriculum to teach airway reconstructive surgery in under resourced countries. In 2019, this curriculum won first place at the Harvard Medical School Annual Global Health Symposium. She has also served as a peer reviewer for the pediatric critical care section for the New England Journal of Medicine 360 online rotation prep for residents. Her current academic pursuits include developing a pediatric medical simulation curriculum for residents and medical students, as well as helping to lead the efforts in pediatric emergency and disaster preparedness
