Alan Chausow, MD

As a specialist in pulmonary medicine and critical care, Dr. Alan Chausow treats conditions including asbestos disease, COPD, asthma, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis and sarcoidosis. He is also the medical director of the Critical Care Unit at El Camino Hospital and the chair of Pulmonary Medicine at Palo Alto Medical Foundation. Dr. Chausow ensures that each patient understands his or her condition and how to manage it. He stays up-to-date on the latest advancements in medical care and communicates this complex medical information to his patients in language they can understand. Dr. Chausow appreciates the excellent nurses and outstanding technology at El Camino Health. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, organic herb and vegetable gardening and hiking.
