Harry P Koo, MD

As Chief of Pediatric Urology, my job is to take care of children-from newborn to young adults-who have problems with their kidneys, bladder or genital organs. I treat children who were born with urologic conditions, as well as children who develop urologic problems later in life. I also provide prenatal care to children diagnosed with urologic problems before they are born.
I love working in pediatric urology because it allows me to develop a long-term plan to care for each patient and improve their quality of life for the next 80 or 90 years.
I became a member of the Urology team at Hackensack University Medical Center in 2012 though I had been aware of Hackensack University Medical Center's strong reputation for many years before that. In the medical community, Hackensack University Medical Center is well-respected and known for its emergence as a world class medical center.
Joining the urology team at Hackensack University Medical Center has given me the opportunity to work with wonderful physicians who are experts in a range of specialty areas. Because we are always motivated to learn, we push each other to become better and better at providing the most effective care. This dedication creates a very exciting work environment.
